How to Install lzip software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

lzip software package provides lossless data compressor based on the LZMA algorithm, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install lzip

lzip is installed in your system.

Make ensure the lzip package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lzip *

You will get with lzip package name, version, architecture and description in a table
